Another sign that Disney is slowly growing more confident in the healing economy as prices are about to go up for Walt Disney World tickets. Beginning Sunday, look for an increase the base price of a one-day, one-park ticket to $79 -- up $4, or 5.3 percent. The price of a similar ticket for a child between the ages of 3 and 9 will climb $5, or 7.9 percent, to $68. Also adding the park hopper option goes up a couple of bucks to $52 and the same 2 dollar increase for the Water Park Fun & More option.
Other multi day tickets will increase 2.6 - 4.7 percent.
The last increase was August 2008, which is making a really great August tradition...

Theres a rumour going around that Warren Spector has been working on a Disney game in the SteamPunk style with the working title "Epic Mickey."

Episode #35 is up... a Show WEEKS in the making... well.. a couple of days any way...
This week we address the transportation issue as well as the Haunting of Pirates and The Talking of Turtles.
Also the latest news, including a new project for Miley and a few technical glitches as per usual.

Tragedy struck Walt Disney World this morning around 2AM when Monorail Pink and Purple collided. The crash happened at the Transportation and Ticket Centre on the EPCOT track. Austin Wenneberg, a 21 year old monorail pilot, was fatally injured in the accident. The second driver was taken to hospital, but was not hurt and six park guests suffered minor injuries.
Disney Spokesperson Mike Griffin, said "Our heart goes out to the cast member and the family,"
Disney released this statement;
"Today, we mourn the loss of our fellow cast member. Our hearts go out to his family and to those who have lost a friend and co-worker. The safety of our guests and cast members is always our top priority. The monorail is out of service and we will continue to work closely with law enforcement to determine what happened and the approximate next steps."
The monorail is closed until an investigation is completed.
CommunicoreOnline would like to offer its condolences to everyone involved, especially the friends and family members of Austin Wenneberg.
